So one of my largest fears is of long pauses in conversations. Now when I say long I mean like if a conversation is continuously and then it comes to a halt and just stays that way for 30 secs to several minutes. The reason I am terrified of this is because when there is a pause in a conversation especially after i have said something even the slightest bit questionable i automatically assume that i have said something wrong. I assume i have said or done something wrong because that is what my trained response has been to pauses since birth. My father never screams or yells at me unless it is very serious (and that is truly terrifying) instea
